NOTTING HILL YOGA
BEGINNER YOGA CLASSES
Friday Mornings 8am-9am
In these beginner yoga lessons, through clear instructions, precise demonstrations, and expert adjustments, you will learn correct technique and acquire an excellent grasp of the fundamentals of yoga. Class size is limited to 6 students to ensure everyone gets the attention they need.
You do not need to be flexible or strong to start yoga, this will come with practice. With regular attendance, you can expect to feel stronger and more flexible, but also more attuned to your own body, nimbler, and better at relaxing.
Consistency is key, so we recommend committing to a course of 8 lessons, to be taken within 10 weeks, for a rounded introduction to yoga. In this time we would cover level 1 standing poses, balance poses, forward bends, twists, backbends, inversions, and restorative poses. The class always ends in a guided mini meditation. INTERMEDIATE YOGA CLASSES
These classes are fun and challenging, and for anyone who wants to take their yoga practice to the next level. The small class size and the fact that almost everyone who attends becomes a regular means that each individual can be pushed according to their needs. The class tends to be a medley of Astanga sequencing and Iyengar technique, with lots of vinyasas, standing poses, arm balances, inversions, forward bends and backbends, twists and strong core work, always finishing with yoga nidra (yogic sleep).
